I never thought that the girls would agree to have the Mooncake Festival a.k.a Mid-Autumn Celebration! it's a class gathering, just to get along.
Believe me. It was damn fun!! Stress-free period!! Yu-hoo!!
After having a very hectic day, studying & managing the Boston facelift, all of us decided to have fun that night, since it's the Mid-Autumn Festival. So, at 9.30 pm, the Bostonians lurked into the darkness of the park in front of cendana, wanting to have the dramatic effects of the candles and the colourful lanterns.
Fact No. 1: This gathering is a joint program, whereby Boston & Chicago combined to have a vivacious party. Hehehe...
And so, we have 2 circles for each class respectively. It wud have been nice if these two circles combined to form a bigger one, right??
Well, needless to say, laughter and shouts filled the air, changing the 'tranquil' and quiet neighborhood into a 'pasar malam'. Hehehe... J.K was, of course, the STAR of the NIGHT, since he always comes up with unexpected things.
This time, he spinned his lantern vigorously, 360, causing the lantern to burn in his hands. He, then, cursed loudly. Predictable. Hehehe...
After having two pieces of KFC and some cups of Pepsi, we played "Truth or Dare", an intention and a way to know each other better. JK the beloved class rep was given the honour to start the game. Well, it was full with laughter, indeed, but it didn't last long.
Long enough, that the guards and some Cendana lecturers suddenly 'apparated' (to use Harry Potter's jargon) in the midst of darkness.............
"Excuse me."
Everyone ignored, not aware of their presence.
"EXCUSE ME!!!"
Blood rushed away from our faces, instantly.
"Who's the leader here?"
Boston: No one.
"Are you UiTM students?"
Boston: Yes lah.
"Do you have your student card with you?"
Bodo. who will have it in a gathering??
Chyuan: Not now.
"Do you know why we're here?"
Then, they asserted that they received phone calls from the residents, complaining that we were unacceptably noisy in the middle of the night. And so, a hot debate emerged between the Bostonians and the 'foreigners'. Ironically, I remained silent, examining the situation.
Yang, Foong Yii, Chyuan, and some others maintained that we did not do anything wrong, since we're just celebrating the Mooncake festival. As it turned out, the lecturers hardly agreed.
As they perambulated around us, all of the sudden, their countenance changed.
"Aih? Melayu pun sambut Mooncake Festival ke??"
Then, I answered.
"Yes. Anything wrong with that?"
"Err...Er........."
Even though they failed to convince us that we had flawed the rules, they forced us to go to the guard's hut, scribble our names on a piece of paper, and dismiss the party. With a reluctant heart, without even finishing the "Truth or Dare" game, I ampled into my college, wondering what the Chinese might think. So, I've come up with these conclusions.
- How can the lecturers say that we are organizing an unhealty activity? We are demonstrating national unity.
- If it were because of the presence of the Malays, the Chinese would have been in a more serious situation. trust me; it was grim, and I bet it could have been grimmer.
- Boston will have a very significant memory to be brought along to the States. Hehehe...
Despite my proneness to being recalcitrant to SMSK, this is my first time being a criminal. Hehehe...
